We all start small.
- Elements teachers follow principles of Conscious Discipline and agree that teacher-child connection is the foundation for learning and growth, both academically and socially. Children are born with empathy but that empathy must be nurtured and modeled by adults and peers in order to develop fully.
- We believe structure is beneficial for a child's day. We incorporate this through daily routines that include circle times and morning art activities while also allowing for lots of free play - indoors and out. We follow a set curriculum that includes weekly themes like 'Astronauts and Life in Space' or 'Famous Artists'. Additionally, our 3's and Pre-k classes include daily science activities that focus on life sciences and basic STEM themes .
- We welcome extra-curriculars at Elements! We currently host Kinderdance, The Groovy Gym Bus, and Sportball. For no additional fee, Elements also provides a weekly Mandarin Chinese class through Cool Panda Chinese.
- We take play seriously. Child development research strongly supports active play as the best way for young children to develop critical cognitive, social-emotional, and physical skills. Encouraging free play, especially when outdoors, also just feels right to us as a team of parents who want their children to truly enjoy the preschool experience. After all, what are your favorite memories from childhood? There is a good chance many of those memories took place outside and were fueled by your imagination.
